DR. ERNESTO Y. LEE MEMORIAL PROJECT: Dr. Lee was a U.S. trained general and plastic surgeon from the University of the Philippines. He dedicated his life to helping the poor and operated on patients at no charge during medical missions. He was called by our Lord on April 8, 2022. In his memory, Philippine Children's Charity is starting a new project that will fund free operations for children in most need in the Philippines. UPDATE: As ofJan 1, 2023 we have raised $30,000. We just need $20,000 more and we will be able to build the surgical center without the need for loans. We have selected Licab, Nueva Ecija as the future site of the ambulatory surgical center. While a typical U.S.-based surgical team might complete 20 major plastic surgery cases in a 2-week time period, our surgical center will enable U.S., international, and Philippine-based surgeons to operate on children essentially year-round with much less overhead due to the strength of the U.S. dollar. We estimate our surgical center would be able to handle 500 surgery cases annually. Concepcion C. Lee, Dr. Lee's widow, has donated the land for the surgical center.

PROJECT EINSTEIN: We supply kids throughout the Philippines with school supplies, food, and transportation money so they can attend public schools. We have projects in multiple areas. Click on Projects to see the children learn to help themselves.

PROJECT TOY FACTORY: We plan to open a toy stuffed animal factory in the Philippines to raise money for our projects, while at the same time providing employment opportunities for impoverished parents of the children we sponsor. Some of the toy teddy bears will be given to the children.

PROJECT MELODY: We are planning to support the development of gifted child musicians who are too poor to take music lessons, so they might form bands through which they can obtain jobs in the Philippines and internationally. UPDATE: We will be starting a talent search for economically challenged, musically gifted children in Cagayan de Oro, to form our charity's house band that will tour the Philippines and make YouTube videos. We empower youth!
